Hospital Employees’ Donations Honored with Plaque.

Waukegan, IL—On March 30, representatives from the American Heart Association (AHA) presented Vista Health System with a plaque to acknowledge Vista’s support of the AHA’s mission. During Vista Health System’s 2008 Combined Appeal Campaign, employees donated $17,024.83 to AHA and the association continues to be a beneficiary of Vista’s 2009 campaign as well.

American Heart Association’s Melissa Lach, Director, Corporate Development and Linda Ann Dailey, Executive Director, presented the honor to Vista Health System’s Barbara J. Martin, President and CEO and Deanna Stich, Director, Senior Circle/Volunteers.

“Even in these rough economic times, people still want to reach out and help each other,” Deanna Stich, says. “Times are tough all over. Notwithstanding, our employees still wanted to give, still wanted to help others. They appreciated having options to donate their dollars. Vista employees raised $55,000 last year for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and United Way campaigns.”

“We are proud to be a part of the American Heart Association’s annual appeal,” Barb Martin says. “Vista is dedicated to improving heart health and education in the community. That’s why we brought an advanced cardiovascular surgery program to the residents of northern Lake County, IL, and Southern Kenosha County, WI,” she adds.
