Outpatient Rehabilitation
At Vista Health System, we understand that nothing comes easy for patients in rehabilitation. We take the time to learn what each individual wants to achieve as a result of therapy – whether it’s getting back on the tennis court or regaining the strength to manage daily tasks.
Individualized Approach
We focus on helping patients regain lost or decreased function so they can resume their daily activities. Our therapists work with patients and their physicians to develop customized treatment programs for their specific needs.
For patients receiving more than one therapy, our multidisciplinary team works together to coordinate care in order to help individuals reach their personal goals and achieve their optimal level of functioning.

- Work hardening
Neurological Rehabilitation
Our therapists work with patients who have suffered neurological injuries or disease, such as stroke or traumatic brain injury. They help them to regain physical strength, balance and coordination in order to improve their ability to perform daily activities and even return to work. Speech therapists help individuals improve speech, language, swallowing and memory.
Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation
The recovery process after an injury or illness can be frustrating and time consuming. Vista’s physical and occupational therapists help patients improve strength, increase mobility and decrease pain. Treatment methods include heat therapy, electrical stimulation, massage, ultrasound, strengthening, stretching, joint mobilization and others depending on the individual’s needs. Therapy can also be done before surgery for pre-operative education and conditioning.
Hand Therapy
Occupational therapists specializing in hand therapy are available to work with patients following repetitive strain, traumatic injury or surgical treatment of the hand, wrist, forearm or elbow. Methods are individualized and may include preventive care; customized splinting; scar, edema and pain management; ergonomic assessment; job simulation training; exercise programs; joint protection education; and energy conservation training.
Pediatric Rehabilitation
Our physical, occupational and speech therapists are experienced in working with children from birth to pre-school and through the teen years. We treat children who have a wide variety of neurodevelopmental, orthopedic and congenital disorders.
Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vista’s vestibular rehabilitation is designed to treat patients with vertigo, dizziness and/or balance disorders. These problems may cause a person to feel disoriented, which can make life difficult.
Aquatic Therapy
We offer aquatic therapy in a warm, therapeutic pool. The water’s buoyancy reduces stress to joints, allowing patients to move in ways they may not be able to on land. Aquatic therapy helps reduce pain, swelling and stiffness in joints, as well as improve range of motion, strengthen muscles and build endurance.
