Ill., 6/6/07--Barbara Martin, CEO of Vista Health System, proudly announced Halina Johnstone as the 2007 Patient Choice Award Winner during Nurses Week festivities. This annual award is based on patient input on the levels of comfort, compassion, kindness and communication provided by the nurses at Vista.
“Halina was a gift to our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives.” said one nominating family. Another patient describes Ms. Johnstone as, “The most professional, courteous, polite and fun nurse I have ever had.”
Halina Johnstone serves as a Registered Nurse, specializing in pediatrics. Her career with Vista Health System began in March of 1998. Throughout that time her colleagues list Halina as one of the most beloved caregivers in the hospital.
After presenting the Patient Choice Award to Ms. Johnstone, Vista’s CEO, Barbara Martin stated, “Halina Johnstone is a shining example of our belief structure here at Vista Health System. Our patients are the most important people in our facility and the reason we come to work each day. Halina exemplifies that mindset and I am proud to tout her as a star of the Vista team.”
