Vista
Imaging Center Offers
Advanced Technologies at
Convenient, Outpatient Location
Waukegan ,
Ill. , 8/3/04- On August 2,
Vista Health opened its newest healthcare
facility designed with both the patient
and doctor in mind. The Vista
Imaging Center provides advanced diagnostic
technologies at a convenient, patient-friendly
location. And it provides quick reporting
to the doctor, who can even review
the images in his/her own office.
A department of Victory Memorial Hospital
, the center is located at 95 North Greenleaf
Street in Gurnee. With the expanded service
hours at the Vista Imaging Center , in many
instances patients will be able to go directly
from their doctor's office to the center
to have their tests performed. Same-day,
early morning, evening and weekend hours
make it easy for people to schedule appointments
at their convenience.
Advanced
technologies, like a 16-slice CT scanner,
allow for more detailed images of the internal
organs and tissues to aid the physician's
diagnosis. The center also offers mammographies
with the advantage of ImageChecker®.
ImageChecker is a "second-look" type
technology which highlights areas on the
image for the radiologist to examine closely.
Ultrasound, bone densitometry, EKG and blood
draws round out the services at the Vista
Imaging Center .
Of special interest is the addition of positron
emission tomography (PET) in mobile PET/CT
technology. This advanced diagnostic tool
has proven useful in the identification of
cancers and conditions of the brain. The
PET/CT scanner is scheduled through the Vista
Imaging Center and located just a half block
south at the Vista MR Institute, where state-of-the-art
traditional and open MRI technologies are
available.

community event begins with a dedication
and ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m.

their patient's test results within hours
and allow them to view images on computers
in their own offices or at various Vista
Health locations.

the Vista Imaging Center open house, attendees
