Vista Opens Sleep Disorder Center in Lindenhurst
Free Seminar on Insomnia Jan 23rd

Lindenhurst, Ill., 1/16/07--Good sleep shouldn’t be something you only dream about. You need it to stay healthy in body and mind. When you don’t get enough sleep, your whole life is affected. Being tired can cause accidents, injuries, personality changes and irritability. If you feel you aren’t getting enough sleep you may be suffering from a sleep disorder. Vista Health Sleep Disorder Center is now located at Vista Surgery Center, 1050 Red Oak Lane in Lindenhurst and Vista Medical Center East, 1324 North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Illinois.

Sleep disorders affect millions of Americans. To help understand treatment options, Vista Health will be offering a free seminar on Insomnia, Tuesday, January 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Vista Surgery Center, 1050 Red Oak Lane, Lindenhurst, IL.

Vista Health Sleep Disorder Center performs sleep studies (polysomnography) to aid in the identification and treatment of sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. During the study, you stay overnight in a comfortable room. A technician attaches sensors to you and then monitors you from another room with state-of-the-art equipment. By doing this they can record your sleep and reactions including brain waves, eye movement, breathing, heart rate, muscle activity and oxygen level. If sleep apnea is identified in the first two to three hours of the study, appropriate treatment will be initiated.

If you feel you have a sleep disorder or want to learn more, register for the seminar at 847-360-4246. For a sleep study, contact your doctor for a referral and schedule your study at 847-360-4184.
