To help everyone understand and face a terminal illness, it is best to seek hospice help at an early stage. Anyone may refer a patient to Star Hospice of Vista Health. The physician must certify the terminal prognosis and agree to work with the hospice team in providing care for the patient.

A physician's order is needed when the home care of an individual calls for the services of a skilled hospice team. The hospice team can address some or all of the needs an individual may require.
