Diabetes is classified as chronic conditions, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and reversible conditions, gestational diabetes and prediabetes.
At Vista Health System, the diabetes education program is designed to help you better manage diabetes. Our certified diabetes educator offers informational classes and individual instruction about living with diabetes, including managing medications, increasing physical activity, performing blood glucose testing, taking preventative measures and working to develop better nutrition.

Introduction to Diabetes Self-Management Seminar
This seminar provides tools to manage diabetes. We will discuss causes and risk factors of diabetes, and lifestyle approaches to help manage blood sugars. Nutrition related to diabetes will also be discussed. The goal of the seminar is to provide information on how to maintain a healthy life-style and avoid diabetes complications.
